Luxury rail tour operator's global growth plans include partnership with DDB Canada
VANCOUVER, Sept. 14, 2015 /CNW/ - Rocky Mountaineer, world-renowned luxury train operator offering life-changing travel experiences through the Pacific Northwest and majestic Canadian Rockies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Monique Gomel as Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications.
Based in Vancouver and a B.C. native, Gomel will pilot a shift in the company's strategic approach and communications, allowing Rocky Mountaineer to continue to move toward its aggressive global growth goals.

Prior to joining Rocky Mountaineer, Gomel was Vice President of Marketing for Earls Restaurants, where she recently led the brand's expansion into the US and has been a significant contributor to the company's growth. She also served as Global Marketing Director with Electronic Arts, leading the successful worldwide launch of EA Sports Active, Electronic Arts' first entry into the fitness segment. She also held previous roles at L'Oreal Paris and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. Gomel holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
As part of its overall marketing efforts, Rocky Mountaineer recently hired DDB Canada's Vancouver office as an agency partner. Collaborating closely with OMD Vancouver, it will help develop a new creative direction and marketing mix for the brand. New campaign work will launch in global markets in November 2015.
