Rogers-O'Brien Construction Improves Subcontractor Payment Management Processes with Textura-CPM
CHICAGO, June 7, 2016 /CNW/ -- Textura Corporation (NYSE: TXTR), a leading provider of collaboration solutions for the construction industry, announced that leading general contractor Rogers-O'Brien Construction is using Textura's Construction Payment Management™ (CPM®) solution to improve its invoicing and payment processes.
Based in Dallas and with offices in Houston and Austin, Texas, Rogers-O'Brien Construction provides a wide range of preconstruction and construction management services. The company ranks No. 229 on Engineering News-Record's 2016 ENR 400 list of the largest general contractors, based on 2015 revenue of $307 million. Rogers-O'Brien has ranked among the top 400 contractors for more than 15 years.
A web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, Textura-CPM integrates key construction payment management processes - including billing, lien waiver collection, progress claims, statutory declarations, sub-tier waivers, compliance management and payments - into a seamless, online workflow that facilitates collaboration across project participants. By automating and standardizing document generation, routing and approval, CPM improves accuracy, enhances transparency and helps mitigate risk.
In addition, the integration of CPM and Rogers-O'Brien Construction's ERP solution provides for a seamless exchange of financial data between those systems. Using CPM has also enabled the company to replace paper checks with direct ACH payments.
"Using CPM has significantly expedited the draw process and brought new levels of efficiency to our payment management activities. Textura's system helps ensure that documents such as invoices and lien waivers are correct and consistent across our subcontractor community, limiting the risk of input error," said Mike Orr, Chief Financial Officer at Rogers-O'Brien Construction.
"Feedback from subcontractors about CPM has been very positive, as the changes help ensure their payments don't get held up by errors or delivery delays," he added, noting that the general contractor is implementing CPM across its operations.
"We are pleased that both Rogers-O'Brien Construction and its subcontractor community are seeing benefits from the process improvements CPM brings. More efficient and effective processes can deliver many positive outcomes, not least of which is stronger relationships between project partners," said Mike Antis, Executive Vice President of Client Services for Textura.
