Romspen Investment Corporation Announces Recent Organizational Appointments
Significant Strength and Depth Added to Management Team
TORONTO, Feb. 18 /CNW/ - Romspen Investment Corporation is pleased to make the following organizational announcements.
Mark Hilson is appointed to Managing General Partner. Most recently he was Managing Director at Onex Corporation and has over 25 years of experience in the investment business. Mr. Hilson has served on a broad range of North American public company and charitable boards including Vincor, Celestica, Shaw Festival and the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. He graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree (gold medalist) from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Business Administration (George Fisher Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School.
Ronald Lloyd is appointed to Managing Partner. Mr. Lloyd has 25 years of experience in the investment and pension consulting business in both Canada and the U.S., most recently as Vice President of Gluskin Sheff + Associates. Prior to his senior position at Gluskin Sheff, Mr. Lloyd was the President of Hewitt Associates Canada. He received a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and a Master of Industrial Relations from Queens University, and earned his Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation. Mr. Lloyd serves on the Board of Directors of Greenwood College School.
Robert Shiller is appointed to Vice President, Origination and has spent his entire career in commercial real estate lending. Most recently he was Vice President Real Estate Investment Banking at TD Securities prior to which he held senior positions at Colliers International, GE Capital, and Citibank. Mr. Shiller holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.
Arnie Bose is appointed to Vice President, Finance. Prior to joining Romspen he was Senior Controller at Ontario Realty Corporation and prior to that he practiced in the Audit division of Ernst & Young and in the International Corporation Tax division of Arthur Andersen. Mr. Bose graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Dean's List) and Master of Accounting degree from the University of Waterloo and also holds the designation of Chartered Accountant.
Bonnie Bowerman is appointed Vice President, Underwriting and brings extensive commercial real estate underwriting experience to Romspen. Most recently she held senior real estate underwriting positions with Sun Life Assurance Company and Aetna Life Insurance Company prior to which she was Senior Consultant with Drivers Jonas Canada. Ms. Bowerman received a Bachelor of Administrative Studies from York University where she graduated with distinction.
