Rosemère's Secret Gardens Tour - Horticultural wonders for you to discover!
ROSEMÈRE, QC, July 5 /CNW Telbec/ - Next Sunday, July 11th, the Town of Rosemère will don its most stunning colours for the 11th edition of its annual Secret Gardens Tour. This event is expected to attract more than a thousand visitors eager to discover magnificent landscaping arrangements showcased on ten or so private properties, which will be open to the general public on this one occasion only, from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Departure must be done between 9:30 a.m. and noon. Awareness of environmental issues leads us to suggest that visitors cycle from garden to garden, as this pleasant exercise not only makes it possible to keep fit, but avoids the release of greenhouse gases. To add to the enjoyment of the day, you can bring a lunch and stop off at the Hamilton House, our cultural centre, where young musicians will be performing, local artists will be exhibiting their works, and Rosemère's municipal councillors will be serving wine. Artists will also be at work in the gardens, immortalizing the horticultural masterpieces on canvas.
We suggest you obtain your tickets in advance. Priced at $15 each, $25 for a pair or $10 for seniors, these are now available at the Municipal Library (339 Grande-Côte), the Town Hall (100 Charbonneau Street) and Boutique Déjà Vu (332-A Grande-Côte). A few tickets will also be available at the commuter train station (287 Grande-Côte) on the morning of the event.
It has now become a tradition: while visitors will have the opportunity of admiring the most dazzling displays, they will also be contributing to a humanitarian cause, since profits from the Tour will be donated to Les Petits Plaisirs, a respite organization allowing area families caring for a child with a disability to benefit from services essential to their quality of life.
