Royal Agricultural Winter Fair 'beefs up' competition
Supreme class has been added to upcoming Masterfeeds Canadian Beef Shows
TORONTO, Oct. 29, 2014 /CNW/ - The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is pleased to announce a Supreme Class to our line-up of Canadian Beef Champion events, sponsored by MasterFeeds. The Grand Champion Bull and Grand Champion Female of each breed will be welcomed back into the Scotiabank Ring of Excellence on Sunday Nov. 9th following The Royal Angus Show. The official judges from all 6 Canadian Beef Shows will jointly judge the bulls and females to determine a Supreme Champion Bull and a Supreme Champion Female. Supreme Champions will be crown with a Supreme Champion Ribbon and prize money of $1,000 sponsored by MasterFeed.

More than 600 beef cattle are expected to take part in competitions for six breeds, including Limousin, Charolais, Hereford, Angus, Simmental and Shorthorn.
Animals will be judged in five major categories, including frame/size, muscling, volume/performance, trimness/condition and structure/soundness.
