Road to The Royal Chef Competition headed to Niagara Food Festival on September 12
TORONTO, Sept. 10, 2015 /CNW/ - On Saturday, September 12, three chefs from Niagara will have their culinary talent put to the test in a re-match at the Niagara Food Festival this weekend as part of the Egg Farmers of Ontario Road To The Royal Chef Challenge.
All three chefs competed in the 2013 Road to the Royal Chef Challenge at the Welland Fair and are back to challenge for a spot in the Road to the Royal Championship in November.
Hosted by award-winning chef Ted Reader, the competition challenges chefs to use all fresh ingredients to create delicious dishes live on stage.
"The Road to the Royal Chef Competitions is headed to wine country," says Reader. "Niagara is known for its great wine and tasty food so it will be exciting to see what kinds of culinary creations these chefs come up with."

Each regional competition will follow the same format. Chefs will compete in two 30-minute rounds – one round for an entrée and one for dessert. Each dish will include "secret ingredients" selected from locally grown or produced food products and provided to the chefs at the start of the event.
