Royal Roads announces highlights of the AGM

HALIFAX, June 23 /CNW/ - Royal Roads Corp. (RRO-TSX-V) ("Royal Roads" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that at the Annual and Special Meeting held on June 22, 2010 ("AGM"), the shareholders re-appointed the directors, namely, Daniel Burneski, Andrew Forrest, Edmund Merringer, Paul Moore, Steven Poad and Warren MacLeod to hold office until their successors are duly elected or appointed. Wasserman Ramsey, Chartered Accountants has been re-appointed as auditor of the Company until the next annual meeting of shareholders or until its successor is duly appointed. Shareholders also re-approved the Company's incentive stock option plan as required under the rules and policies of the TSX Venture Exchange ("Exchange").

In addition, the shareholders passed a resolution to change the Company's name to "Buchans Minerals Corporation". The new name is more in keeping with the current focus of exploring and developing mineral properties in the famous historic Buchans mining camp in central Newfoundland, Canada. The name change is subject to regulatory approvals and the Company's common shares will begin trading on the Exchange under the new name once all regulatory requirements have been met. A further news release will be issued once the effective date is known. The Company's will apply to the Exchange to change the trading symbol to "BMC".
