ROYALE curates its latest collection of inspiring Canadian photography

- Stunning photos on millions of tissue boxes across Canada as part of the 2013 ROYALE Inspire Us Collection-

TORONTO, Aug. 22, 2013 /CNW/ - Beautiful photography sure to inspire is at your fingertips - if you are planning to reach for a tissue that is! In its fourth year, Canadians entered more than 9,100 photos in the ROYALE Inspire Us Photo Challenge for their chance to win $1,500 and have their photo showcased on millions of facial tissue boxes. Now, after 356,949 votes by fellow Canadians, eight shutterbugs will have their photos showcased in a uniquely Canadian collection that cannot be found anywhere else.

"It has never been easier to capture beautiful images, but these eight photos have clearly stood out with Canadians voting to give them top spot in the competition," says Gary MacIntosh, director of marketing, ROYALE Canada. "We want to thank everyone who shared their most memorable photos with us and could not be more excited to have the winning images featured as part of the 2013 ROYALE Inspire Us Collection."

Chosen by Canadians through an online vote, the 2013 Inspire Us Collection includes:

1. Orchids to Delight You - Mike from Saanichton, BC
2. Fiery Dawn - Donald from Kamloops, BC
3. Mysterious Blue Poppy - Anton from Victoria, BC
4. La Vie en Bleu - Jessica from Fort McMurray, AB
5. Sunset Over the Lake - James from Toronto, ON
6. Rose is a Rose is a Rose - Cindy from Bobcaygeon, ON
7. Étoile de Mer et Coeur - Carmelle from Lanoraie, QC
8. Tout Petit- Véronique from Saint-Jean-Chrysostome, QC (Student Photo Challenge Winner)

Since 2009, ROYALE has encouraged Canadians to submit their most memorable photos for the chance to win one of eight $1,500 prizes and have their photo become the design inspiration for the ROYALE Inspire Us Collection. This year, a new category provided Canadian post-secondary art and photography students with the chance to submit their most creative snapshots for a chance to win.

About the 2013 ROYALE Inspire Us Photo Challenge
The 2013 ROYALE Inspire Us Photo Challenge and Student Photo Challenge ran on royale.ca from September to December 2012. Canadians from across the country submitted their most inspiring photos and a panel of judges selected 40 photos for the online vote. The six photos to receive the most votes by members of the Moment with ROYALE community, combined with one photo chosen by the judges from both the national contest and the student contest are now part of the 2013 ROYALE Inspire Us Collection.
