Rugby Canada Announce Velocity Trade as Men's Sevens Team Partner

TORONTO, Nov. 29, 2016 /CNW/ - Rugby Canada announced today a new partnership naming Velocity Trade as a Signature Partner of the national sport organization. This partnership will see Velocity Trade become the official partner of Rugby Canada's Men's Sevens Team on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

Velocity Trade, an international company, will be featured as the front of jersey sponsor for Canada's Men's Sevens Team on seven of the ten stops of the 2016-17 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. Velocity Trade's logo will also feature on the back of the team's shorts for the additional three Series stops. With offices in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the UK, there is a great fit between Velocity Trade and the series venues in which Rugby Canada's Men's Sevens Team will be competing.

The partnership comes at a time where interest in Rugby Sevens, having just appeared in the Olympics for the first time, is at an all-time high in Canada & North America. Rugby Canada is looking to build on this interest through their partnership with Velocity Trade and through their Canada Men's & Women's Sevens events.

The HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series will begin its 10 round international circuit on December 2^nd 2016 in Dubai, before the 16 nations travel to Cape Town, South Africa for round 2 the following weekend.
