Rumours About Construction of "The Touch" Yacht: the Fonds Will Protect Its Shareholders
MONTREAL, Jan. 29, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - In light of the rumours circulating about construction of the "The Touch" yacht, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ would like to reassure its shareholders.
Following the audit of the Accurso group ordered by the tax authorities, the Fonds will assert its rights to protect its shareholders if it was adversely affected in the Touch construction case.
The Fonds de solidarité FTQ was no longer a shareholder of Hyprescon when the rumours concerning the Touch were brought to its attention in 2009.
Since other facts subsequently came to light that contradict this rumour, it has been impossible to confirm the information, particularly since the Fonds does not have access to the tools and techniques used in police investigations. Based on the official documents available to the Fonds as a shareholder (in particular, financial statements), the Fonds can neither confirm nor deny the rumours.
In essence, the Fonds' information concerning this matter is contradictory and inconclusive; however, if the rumours are true, the Fonds would view such a situation as completely unacceptable.
