Running of the Bulls on Bay Street to Kick-Off the Royal's 90th Anniversary

- Never done before, Toronto hosts a running of the bulls to celebrate The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, November 2^nd - 11^th -

TORONTO, Oct. 26, 2012 /CNW/ - On Tuesday, October 30^th Toronto will look a little like Pamplona, Spain - only better - as six 2,000-pound bulls run a length of Bay Street to kick-off this year's 90^th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

The bulls will start from Wellington Street and run northbound along Bay Street to King Street. While spectators will be able to marvel at these magnificent animals, the streets will be closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic during the running of the bulls. Cowboys on horseback will help guide the bulls to ensure they stay on course.

Spectators are invited to come down and watch the bulls on Bay Street, and then celebrate The Royal's 90^th Anniversary kick-off along Bay Street and at the forecourt of Commerce Court with various food and promotional sponsors.

At The Royal, these bulls will also be seen in all their glory at the Ontario Toyota Dealers Royal Rodeo on Sunday, November 4^th.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is the world's largest combined indoor agricultural and equestrian show.  The Royal began in 1922 with a small group of farmers eager to catch-up with each other after the busy fall harvest. From there, The Royal grew into Canada's premier event for showcasing the best in agricultural products and innovations, and equestrian sport.

This year, The 90^th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair runs November 2-11, 2012 at Exhibition Place in Toronto. Information and ticket sales details can be found at RoyalFair.org.
