OTTAWA, April 15, 2015 /CNW/ - Today, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, presented the insignia of Member of the Order of Canada to Russell Morrison during a private ceremony in Toronto, Ontario. Mr. Morrison was appointed on November 20, 2014.

Russell Morrison believes in fostering sustainable change in people's lives. Throughout his legendary 50-year career as an economist and investment manager in the financial industry, he was known for his business acumen and high ethical standards. Since then, he has been admired for applying the same insight and energy to his philanthropy, where, as co-founder of the Morrison Foundation, he has supported a variety of educational and service organizations. Frontier College, Pathways to Education, and his alma mater, the University of Toronto, have all benefited from his belief in the importance of investing in people.
