Safety-Kleen Announces New Chief Financial Officer

<p>PLANO, Texas, <span class="xn-chron">Oct. 13</span> /CNW/ -- Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc., today announced the appointment of <span class="xn-person">Jeff Richard</span> as Chief Financial Officer.  In his new role, Richard will have overall leadership responsibility for strategy and operations for all of the company's finance and control functions.</p>

"Jeff has deep financial and operational experience, as well as strong relationships with the banking and private equity communities, that will be of direct benefit to Safety-Kleen as we continue to execute our growth strategy."</p>

<p>Richard joins Safety-Kleen from Pavestone Company in <span class="xn-location">Dallas</span>, Texas, where he has served since 2006 as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.  In his new capacity, Richard will oversee Safety-Kleen's Finance Department, including accounting, planning, forecasting, budgeting, treasury, accounts receivable, and relations with lenders, creditors and the financial community.</p>

<p>Prior to Pavestone, Richard served as the head of financial planning and analysis at Electronic Data Systems, Chief Financial Officer of Jacuzzi Inc., and various divisional Chief Financial Officer roles at Tyco International.</p>

<p>Richard received his Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University, and was recently named by <span class="xn-location">Dallas</span> Business Journal as the 2009/10 CFO of the Year for the Dallas-Fort Worth region.</p>
