Safety-Kleen President, CEO Florjancic to Retire
</pre> <p>PLANO, Texas, <chron>Dec. 7</chron> /CNW/ -- Safety-Kleen today announced the retirement of its President and CEO Frederick J. Florjancic effective <chron>Dec. 31, 2009</chron>.</p> <p/> <p>"After a 40-year business career, the last six leading Safety-Kleen, I have decided to retire," Florjancic, 63, said. "It has truly been a pleasure and privilege to work with the men and women of Safety-Kleen to help conserve scarce resources through recycling and to provide the highest quality products and services in the environmental service industry. I'm very proud to have been a part of a great organization."</p> <p/> <p>Florjancic will remain with Safety-Kleen in a consulting capacity for several months to assist the company's Board of Directors in conducting a search for his successor and provide for an orderly transition.</p> <p/> <p>Florjancic became President and CEO of Safety-Kleen in <chron>June 2004</chron>, shortly after the company emerged from bankruptcy.
