Safety Tips to Make Summer Break a Splash
TORONTO, June 29 /CNW/ - Just when you thought diving in head first was a great thing to do - think again. Did you know that over 80 per cent of incidents involving waterslides are due to unsafe rider behaviour?
Slide safely this summer by following these simple tips:
1. Follow the rules. Ensure you meet the height, weight, and/or age requirements and follow the attendant's instructions. 2. Keep your position. Never dive, run, stand, kneel, or spin while on the waterslide. 3. Play by the numbers. If the slide is for single riders only, don't attempt to double ride with another person. 4. Don't overdo it. If you feel tired or exhausted, take a break. You can also beat the heat by wearing sunscreen and drinking lots of water.
