TORONTO, April 21, 2015 /CNW/ - The Sake Institute of Ontario (SIO) is proud to announce the 4th Annual Kampai Toronto, the largest sake festival of its kind in Canada. This exclusive tasting event will take place on Thursday, May 28th at the Distillery Historic District in the heart of downtown Toronto. Last year's festival attracted more than 850 attendees.
Kampai Toronto allows SIO to meet its principal objective of educating and promoting the responsible consumption and enjoyment of sake. SIO is a not-for-profit trade organization of Ontario-based sake distributors and manufacturers who are passionate about increasing the awareness of sake and helping educate consumers to the versatility, culture and history of this unique beverage.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste over 140 sakes sourced from dozens of breweries from Japan, Canada and the United States. Appetizer-style food will be made available to guests courtesy of esteemed Japanese & international restaurant partners: Blowfish, Dailo, Don Don Izakaya, Edo, Fonda Lola, Ginko, Guu Izakaya, Ki Modern Japanese + Bar, Kingyo, Nome Izakaya, Ryoji Ramen & Izakaya and Zakkushi.
