Sakto Corporation and Waterford Property Group Unveil Canada 150 Banners on Preston Square
OTTAWA, Ontario, Jan. 30, 2017 /CNW/ -- In 2016, real estate development firm Sakto Corporation, in partnership with Waterford Property Group, held a design competition for banners along Preston Square to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday. Ottawa resident and Preston Square tenant David Hook won the contest and this month his artwork was unveiled along Preston Square.
"The banners are a beautiful addition to the bustling streets along Preston Square for tenants, customers, and residents to enjoy," said Jamilah Taib Murray, Sakto Corporation Chairman. "The design beautifully showcases Canada's growth and diversity from coast to coast."
Hook's design is titled "Coast to Coast" and it portrays Canada's diverse and captivating landscape in a stained glass inspired aesthetic. The artwork will also be used in other media and print throughout 2017. For his winning design, Hook was awarded a prize package valued at $3,500.
