Offering a new Guaranteed $1 Million Prize Draw - Now 104 more opportunities to be a millionaire every year!
TORONTO, Sept. 12, 2013 /CNW/ - It's time to get the balls rolling - LOTTO 6/49 balls of course! The first draw for The New LOTTO 6/49 will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 with a new Guaranteed $1 Million Prize Draw in addition to the larger multi-million dollar jackpot. Sales start on Sunday, September 15, 2013. This change means more millionaires across Canada each and every year.
"We are pleased to keep LOTTO 6/49 exciting for our players with enhancements like our new Guaranteed $1 Million Prize Draw," said Greg McKenzie, Senior Vice President, Lottery, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) and current President of the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation. "With two LOTTO 6/49 draws a week, there is an opportunity for us to create 104 more millionaires across the country every year - in addition to the main LOTTO 6/49 jackpot winners. Somebody is going to win. It could be you!"
The Million Dollar Question - How it Works
Starting on Sunday, with every LOTTO 6/49 play, customers will also receive a unique selection exclusively for the new Guaranteed $1 Million Prize Draw. The additional $1 million prize is drawn only from tickets issued - and that means up to two guaranteed $1 million wins every week across Canada. That's 104 more million-dollar draws each year than with the current format.
A Whole New Ball Game
In addition to the new Guaranteed $1 Million Prize Draw to be won every draw, The New LOTTO 6/49 offers other great enhancements!
To support these offerings, The New LOTTO 6/49 will be priced at $3 per play. For the one additional dollar, players will have more ways to win and better value overall than the current game structure offers.
"For over 30 years, the iconic LOTTO 6/49 lottery game has been making dreams come true for winners, paying out more than $25 billion in prizes in its lifetime," said McKenzie "The New LOTTO 6/49 is the same game that Canadians love to play, but better - with new million dollar prizes, bigger jackpots and more ways to win!"
Sales for The New LOTTO 6/49 will start on Sunday, September 15, 2013 with the draw for the multi-million dollar LOTTO 6/49 jackpot and the first Guaranteed $1 Million Prize Draw to be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013.
