Samsung solves fridge, freezer space challenges
New 4-Door French Door refrigerator redefines food storage
MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 16 /CNW/ - If you've ever wished you could convert some of your freezer space into fridge space or vice versa, your conundrum has just been resolved thanks to a new 4-Door French Door Refrigerator released today by Samsung Electronics Canada. The Samsung RF4287 has three compartments: a freezer, a fridge and a mid-section that can be temperature controlled to serve as a fridge, freezer or something in between.
"Consumers today are always looking for new and unique ways to simplify their lives," said Warner Doell, vice president, Home Appliance division, Samsung Electronics Canada. "This new 4-Door French Door refrigerator is a perfect example of how we listen to customers' needs, and respond with easy access to fresh foods and flexible storage options that are perfect for everything from keeping your kitchen organized to entertaining."
The middle drawer is ideal for storing anything from party platters to soft-freeze foods and is equipped with four convenient pre-programmed settings, including: Wine / Ready-to-Serve Foods, Deli / Snack Foods, Chilled Beverages and Meat / Fish. The Easy Access Drawer also comes with a Smart Divider to help better organize food.
"With a different recipe on the go every day, I never know which ingredients I'll need to use," said Massimo Capra, celebrity chef and restaurateur. "Samsung's new model allows me to customize my refrigerator to my ever-changing needs, making it easy to keep all of my ingredients right at my finger tips."
Aesthetically, the Easy Access Drawer opens separately from the exterior of the refrigerator and is located at counter-height, so it is convenient for everyone in the family to access. It also has an ergonomic handle that makes it easy to open. This refrigerator features a large internal storage capacity of 28 cu.ft., a beautiful stainless-steel design with a stylish Blue LED digital display, and bright, space-saving LED lighting on the interior that illuminates every corner of the unit.
In addition, the 4-Door French Door refrigerator features Samsung's Twin Cooling Plus System, which circulates the air within the refrigerator and freezer compartments separately to keep food super fresh by eliminating odour transfer. Twin Cooling Plus maintains the refrigerator's humidity level at an ideal 75 per cent - near commercial-grade - so even easily perishable fruits and veggies stay fresher for longer. Along with its sleek style and modern design, the RF4287 Refrigerator is Energy Star certified, meaning you can rest assured it's energy efficient.
Samsung's RF4287 has an MSRP of $3,499.99 and is available exclusively through Sears until August 2010. It will be available in all major appliance retailers beginning in September.
