MONTREAL, June 29, 2020 /CNW/ - The Government of Canada is pleased to celebrate the first anniversary of the Samuel De Champlain Bridge. This elegant and modern piece of infrastructure is designed to meet the various mobility needs of residents of the greater Montreal area and facilitates the transportation of essential goods worth billions of dollars annually.
Quote
"The Samuel De Champlain Bridge allows people to travel from one shore to the other year–round, whether by car, truck, foot, bike and soon, on the Réseau express métropolitain light rail train. It lives in harmony with its environment and in solidarity with all citizens, as its rainbow lights have reminded us over the last few months. This bridge will be part of Montreal's riverside landscape into the next century and will leave a positive legacy for generations to come. Thank you to the dedicated women and men who made the design and construction of the magnificent Samuel-De Champlain Bridge possible."
