Sandvine wins expansion deal worth over $3 Million from Tier 1 CALA CSP
WATERLOO, ON, April 4, 2017 /CNW/ - Sandvine, (TSX:SVC) a leading provider of intelligent broadband network solutions for fixed and mobile operators, today announced that it has received orders totaling over $3 million from a Tier 1, multinational, converged mobile/fixed communications service provider (CSP) group, headquartered in Sandvine's CALA sales region. The orders, received in Sandvine's second quarter, relate largely to further capacity expansion of the CSP's Sandvine deployment within its wireless network.
The CSP has deployed Sandvine's Policy Traffic Switch 32000, Network Analytics, Traffic Management, OutReach and Usage Management products within its mobile network footprint in the CALA region and beyond. The CSP has used these products to gain actionable insight into network data to better understand network traffic, create compelling service tiers for subscribers, manage network traffic for improved quality of experience, and interact with subscribers in the most effective way with the most timely information, such as for promotions and critical usage data.
"This Tier 1 CSP represents an excellent case study in the advantages of standardizing on Sandvine to create an intelligent, agile, policy-based based network," said Tom Donnelly, Sandvine's COO, Sales and Global Services. "From a single platform, our customers can understand their network and the underlying traffic then use that intelligence to create, maintain and enforce policies that generate new revenue streams, enhance the subscriber's quality of experience and reduce operating costs. We offer a unified solution that delivers on the promise of helping CSPs become truly digital service providers."
