Sanofi Canada: A Partner in Health - Sanofi Canada recognized as one of Montreal's Top Employers Français
MONTREAL, Feb. 5, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Sanofi Canada is thrilled to announce it has been named one of Montreal's Top Employers. The designation recognizes employers in the Montreal area that lead their industries in offering progressive and forward-thinking places to work.
Employers who entered this regional annual competition organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc. were judged by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers on eight criteria, specifically: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
"This designation is especially meaningful for us as it reflects our employees' appreciation for the work environment and services we offer to help them achieve their absolute best," claims Jon Fairest, President and CEO of Sanofi Canada. "Our goal is to be a true partner in health for Canadians together with our employees, the community, industry and partners. Our employees are proud that they are participating in something meaningful that benefits society."
Sanofi Canada's stated ambition is to bring value, health and hope to Canadians through a range of innovative healthcare solutions, which it achieves through the dedication of a talented workforce that shares this conviction. It offers its employees competitive compensation, flexible work schedule, access to daycare, individual development plans, healthcare professionals onsite, and more. The company also opened a bright, open and comfortable new head office in 2013 that encourages greater collaboration, improved communication and teamwork.
As part of its commitment to contributing value to the health of Canadians, Sanofi Canada partners with community organizations in which it operates and where its employees live. One such initiative is its contribution as a major sponsor to the ACT Foundation, whose mission is to bring CPR and defibrillator training to high schools across Canada, in having trained over 2.6 million students to-date to save lives. Another example is that Sanofi Canada is the founder of the Sanofi BioGENEius Challenge Canada, a national, biotechnology-focused science competition for Canadian high school and CEGEP students that just celebrated its 20th anniversary.
"Establishing a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning, while keeping the needs of patients' top of mind, is at the heart of all we do," says Jon Fairest. "We will continue to foster an environment that enables employees to continue reaching their professional and personal goals."
