Sarama Resources Announces Closing of Private Placement

VANCOUVER, Nov. 15, 2012 /CNW/ - Sarama Resources Limited ("Sarama" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the closing of its previously-announced private placement (the "Private Placement") of 555,556 units (the "Units") at a price of C$0.90 per Unit for gross proceeds of approximately C$500,000. Each Unit is comprised of one common share of the Company (the "Common Share") and one-half of one Common Share purchase warrant (each such whole warrant, a "Warrant"). Each Warrant entitles the holder to purchase one Common Share at a price of C$1.20 at any time prior to 5:00 p.m. (Toronto time) on October 17, 2014.
The Common Shares and Warrants are subject to a statutory hold period which expires on March 15, 2013.
The proceeds of the Private Placement will be used principally to fund drilling activities on the Company's South Houndé Project in Burkina Faso, and for general working capital purposes.
The Private Placement was completed in connection with the Company's recently-completed bought deal offering and related over-allotment exercise, pursuant to which the Company raised gross aggregate proceeds of approximately C$12.6 million.
