SAS Announces Appointments of New Chairman of the Board and New Director
TORONTO, Feb. 19, 2015 /CNW/ - St Andrew Goldfields Ltd. (TSX-SAS) (OTCQX-STADF), ("SAS" or the "Company") today announced that effective immediately, Herbert Abramson will become Chairman of the Board. Mr. Abramson has been a director of the Company since 1995 and held the position of Chairman of the Board from 1995 to 2009. In light of Mr. Abramson's relationship with other shareholders of SAS, Mr. John Hick, who has been a director of the Company since 2012, was appointed Lead Director.
SAS also announces that Don Njegovan has been appointed to the Board of Directors. Mr. Njegovan, a mining engineer, is a former Managing Director, Global Investment Banking-Mining of Scotia Capital.
