Leader in analytics consistently ranked as an exceptional place to work in the GTA and across the globe
TORONTO, Dec. 8, 2015 /CNW/ - SAS Canada, the leader in analytics, has been named one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers for 2016. Now entering its tenth year, The Greater Toronto's Top Employers list aims to determine which employers lead their industries by offering exceptional workplaces for their employees.
"The strength of the employers selected for this year's GTA list reflects the strength of the region itself," says Tony Meehan, Publisher at Mediacorp. "Each year, it gets more difficult to choose the winners and, after 10 years, the level of competition among the winners is now exceptional. These employers are raising the bar for all organizations across the GTA."
Mediacorp invited approximately 8,000 employers to submit detailed applications, including a detailed review of their operations and HR practices that compares them to others in their industry and region. Employers across the GTA were evaluated by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers using the same criteria as the national competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
"A key pillar of our culture is our commitment to customers," emphasized Cameron Dow, President, SAS Canada. "As a knowledge based company the only way we can execute on this focus is through our people; they are the force that drives SAS's success which is why attracting the best and brightest in the nation's most competitive labour market is integral to our success."
All over the globe SAS has been hailed as one of the best places to work in the world. With a culture that fuels innovation and creativity, SAS ranks No. 2 among the World's Best Multinational Workplaces from Great Place to Work.
"Continually striving to offer our employees an inspiring place to work is core to SAS' beliefs, and we remain committed to this goal," said Kerry Tompson, Vice President Human Resources, SAS Canada and Latin America.
