LANGLEY, BC, Dec. 22, 2017 /CNW/ -
Statement by Darrell Jones, President of Save-On-Foods:
One of our major fresh commercial bread suppliers has admitted to a price-fixing scheme for the past 14+ years and implicated others.
This scheme has affected some of our customers with higher bread prices.
SAVE-ON-FOODS WAS NOT INVOLVED, NOR HAD ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THIS CRIMINAL ACT. However, to look after our customers, we will be offering a $25 gift card to existing More Rewards customers and in due course, will seek compensation from the bread suppliers involved.
We will have more information on how customers can get their gift card from us over the next several days. We have put our customers first every day for the last 100 years and we will continue to do so.
