Save the date: Celebration of Excellence

The Canadian Paralympic Committee and the Canadian Olympic Committee cordially invite you to take part in the 2014 Celebration of Excellence to commemorate the great performances and achievements of Canadian Olympians and Paralympians at the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The Celebration of Excellence has been honoring Canada's most distinguished Olympic athletes, coaches and builders for the past 60 years in different cities across the nation. For the Celebration of Excellence in 2012, Toronto hosted more than 120 London 2012 Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Team members and inductees who participated in the three-day series of events. Together they attended over 70 community events and reached 50,000 youth. The Heroes Tour concluded with the Heroes Parade which attracted over 200,000 fans from across the GTA and the very successful Olympic Hall of Fame Gala.

The Sochi 2014 Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Teams will be making public appearances starting on June 4 at Ottawa-area schools and hospitals as well as Parliament Hill. The Heroes Tour, consisting of school and hospital visits, will be making its way through Calgary, Banff and Edmonton on June 5; and the post-Sochi Hall of Fame Gala, Induction Ceremony and Parade will be hosted by the City of Calgary on June 6.
