SCARBOROUGH RESIDENT SMILING BIG AFTER RECEIVING $9,900 DENTAL GRANT
SCARBOROUGH, ON, Nov. 2 /CNW/ - The Oral Aesthetic Advocacy Group is in the business of handing out smiles, and that is just what the organization did earlier this month when it presented Scarborough resident Joyce Sab-it with a Cosmetic Dentistry Grant (CDG) in the amount of $9,900.
The grant will permit Ms. Sab-it to receive dental implants, enabling her to chew and smile again, with greater confidence than she ever thought possible.
Well aware that her new career as a nurse involved daily face-to-face interaction with patients, Ms. Sab-it was embarrassed by her smile and concerned about what people thought of her teeth. "You can't understand what this gift means to me," Ms. Sab-it expressed. "Do you know how I struggled between pursuing my education and fixing my teeth?" she said. "Fixing my teeth has been a big dream of mine, and now I'll have a fresh start at a new career and the confidence of a new, beautiful and bright smile to match!"
Ms. Sab-it has begun treatment with Twilight Dentistry founder, Dr. Corey Rubinoff, who has performed hundreds of dental implants during his 20 years of practice. "I've witnessed how cosmetic dentistry can be life-changing," said Dr. Rubinoff. "Contributing to the Cosmetic Dentistry Grant program is a wonderful way to give back to my community. I'm looking forward to helping Ms. Sab-it achieve the confident, perfect smile she has dreamt of all her life," he added.
The OAAG was recently founded by Lola Snidman, a long-time advocate of cosmetic dentistry and a former director of one of Canada's leading dental facilities.
The organization has developed comprehensive advocacy programs that help dental practitioners improve on the performance and efficiencies of their practices, and can also help foster positive relationships between their patients and their local communities. Up to $1 million dollars of revenue derived from advocacy programs is then re-allocated to the Cosmetic Dentistry Grants program.
