Annual fundraiser has raised $254,282 since 2009 to help kids play sports

VANCOUVER, Oct. 25, 2016 /CNW/ - It's a win! Triple O's seventh annual KidSport Day fundraiser generated a record $62,632 to help financially underprivileged children play organized sports. The initiative was generously supported by guests at 37 Triple O's restaurants throughout British Columbia.

On October 21, Triple O's donated a loonie from the sale of every combo to their local KidSport BC chapter, and guests were invited to make a cash donation leading up to the big day. Plus, @TripleOs donated a dollar for every retweet with the hashtag #SoALLKidsCanPlay. Every $400 raised gives one child the opportunity to play their sport of choice – such as hockey, baseball and gymnastics for a full year. Since its inception, the fundraiser has donated $254,282 to KidSport BC, and helped more than 635 kids grow their confidence through sport.

"I'm proud to say that we're helping a record number of kids play sports this year," said White Spot Hospitality president Warren Erhart. "Donations stay in the communities where funds are raised, which is why KidSport Day is a true grassroots effort that involves every corner of the province. As this year's tally goes to show, the spirit of Triple O's guests and team members can't be beat!"
