Scriptus, Toronto's Pen & Writing Show, proves the art of writing well is not dead
TORONTO, Oct. 26, 2015 /CNW/ - The historic Toronto Reference Library (789 Yonge Street) is the place to be for writing enthusiasts to gather and celebrate the written word on Sunday November 1st at 10 a.m. Last year's show was a rousing success, so this year's attendees will see an even more impressive and diverse group of exhibitors from around the world.
This year at Scriptus, attendees can look forward to:
- fine pens, including fountain pens, old and new;
- luxurious stationery from all over the world;
- vibrant inks, in all the colours of the rainbow;
- learning some calligraphy skills;
- having your pens repaired;
- an active community of like-minded writers and readers.
New this year, organizers, with Polish ink master Konrad Zurawski, have developed a Scriptus-exclusive ink that represents the warm tones of a Canadian fall. The aptly named "Maple Red" is a colour that is evocative of the season's colour change in maple leaves.
Last year, Scriptus attracted over a thousand people and the library was buzzing and packed with whimsy, nostalgia, and romanticism. Come celebrate the lasting, timeless nature of pens and ink. Admission is free. For more information, please visit ScriptusToronto.com
Scriptus is proudly sponsored by ARTiculations, B. Sleuth & Statesman, House of Fine Writing, Knight's Writing, Laywine's, Pen World International, Phidon Pens, Refinemark Print Design, Silver Hand Studios, STAEDTLER North America, Stylo.ca and Wonder Pens.
