Sears invite Quebecers and Military Family Members to tape Video Holiday
Wishes for Soldiers in Afghanistan
QUEBEC CITY, Dec. 2 /CNW/ - Quebecers and military family members are invited to send their Holiday wishes to Canadian troops at a special ceremony being held at Sears, Laurier Quebec, at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010. Holiday wishes will be captured on video and posted on a special website. Also, a huge 8'x4' banner will be unveiled for people to sign before it is shipped off to the Canadian Forces Base in Afghanistan in time for Christmas.
It is all a part of Sears Operation Wish, a program sponsored by Sears Canada in co-ordination with Sears Laurier Quebec and the Valcartier Military Family Resource Centre (VMFRC) with the goal of helping connect Canadian troops with their families and the general public during the Holidays. The banner will be on display until December 8th for people to sign and the web site will stay up through the Holidays.
