Sears Makes Holiday Shopping Easy as 1-2-3

TORONTO, Dec. 15 /CNW/ - Shopping at Sears at Christmastime is a Canadian tradition. Famous for its Christmas Wish Book, Sears is introducing three new traditions this year to complement the great gift assortment available in its department stores.

1. Holiday Wish Experts

Working with customers one on one, the services of a personal Sears Holiday Wish Expert is complimentary, truly helping to make the Holiday shopping experience fun, easy and stress-free. There are Holiday Wish Experts available in all Sears department stores across the country, ready to listen, navigate the store and help select final gifts for everyone on Sears customers' gift buying list. Customers can either walk in to the store and visit the Gift Registry counter to be paired with a Holiday Wish Expert, or call ahead and dial extension 399 to make a personal appointment.

2. Have a gift wrapped to help those in need

Whether customers use a Holiday Wish Expert or shop on their own, once their shopping is done for the day, they can have their gifts wrapped by local charity volunteers who will be on hand to wrap gifts for a small donation to their charity, which means customers can leave the store with their gifts already wrapped and ready to be placed under the tree. Sears supplies the wrapping paper and material. The gift wrapping service is available in Sears department stores across the country, from now until December 24, Monday through Friday, during hours of operation. A minimum $2 donation for every gift wrapped will help charitable partners bring extra joy to those in need during the Holiday season.

3. Photos with Santa

Sears, your Holiday Wish store, is also excited to host Santa in its stores to give children of all ages the opportunity to meet the man himself and tell him their wishes. Santa will be available in almost every Sears store during the weekend of December 18 and 19, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Customers will receive one complimentary photo with Santa of themselves, their children or their family with any Sears purchase.

There is no shortage of help at Sears this Holiday season. Sears is offering a hub of Holiday expertise on their facebook page for people who need more ideas to make the season joyful. Canadians can help other Canadians by uploading a video to Sears facebook page to share their own Holiday survival advice and give a demonstration of a useful tip that has helped them master the season. In thanks, Sears Canada will donate $100 for every Holiday Expert video uploaded, up to a maximum of $10,000, to children's hospitals dedicated to providing support and awareness for children living with and beyond cancer.
