Second-annual ASC Connect conference speakers and agenda revealed
Former U.S. Ambassador Gordon Giffin to provide keynote speech
CALGARY, Sept. 26, 2018 /CNW/ - On October 9th, 2018 the second annual ASC Connect conference will bring together hundreds of market participants to discuss the critical issues and trends affecting the capital markets. The conference includes a full day of informative and interactive plenary sessions led by senior ASC leaders and industry experts, with a range of topics from our expanding enforcement toolbox to how technology is driving change in the capital markets.
The ASC is pleased to welcome distinguished guest Gordon Giffin, former U.S. Ambassador to Canada who will provide the keynote address: Rhetoric and relationships: Insights into our neighbour to the south, sharing his insights on the state of Canada's relationship with the U.S. Ambassador Giffin is the Global Vice Chair of Dentons. He is currently on the board of Directors of TransAlta Corp, Canadian National Railway and is the Lead Director of Canadian Natural Resources.
ASC Connect will also feature Adam Felesky, CEO of Portag3 Ventures as a panelist for Transformational Technologies: Diversification and innovation in Canada's capital market. Previously, Mr. Felesky founded and was the CEO of Horizons Exchange Traded Funds, a director and founding investor of BetaShares Exchange Traded Funds in Australia and also led the launch of an ETF platform in Colombia.
