COWANSVILLE, QC, Feb. 24, 2021 /CNW/ - On February 19 and 20, 2021, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, two packages containing contraband and unauthorized items were seized at Cowansville Institution, a federal medium-security facility.
The contraband and unauthorized items seized included 573.6 grams of hashish, 300.4 grams of tobacco, two cellphones with connection wires, three SIM cards and various pharmaceuticals. The total estimated institutional value of this seizure is $68,866.
The police have been notified and the institution is investigating.
