TORONTO, March 12, 2015 /CNW/ - The Select Committee on Sexual Violence and Harassment will meet to consider advice and recommendations with respect to the prevention of sexual violence and harassment and to improving the response to Ontarians who have experienced sexual violence and harassment.

The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Toronto commencing on March 25, 2015. Interested people who wish to be considered to make an in-person presentation to the Committee should contact the Clerk of the Committee.

The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Sudbury, Thunder Bay, and Sioux Lookout during the week of April 6, 2015. Interested people who wish to be considered to make an in-person presentation to the Committee should contact the Clerk of the Committee by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015.

The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Ottawa, Kingston, Kitchener-Waterloo and Windsor during the week of May 18, 2015. Interested people who wish to be considered to make an in-person presentation to the Committee should contact the Clerk of the Committee by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015.

Those scheduled to appear as a Committee witness will have the option of making their presentation in private.

Those who do not wish to make an in-person presentation but wish to provide comments may send written submissions to the Clerk of the Committee at the address below.
