Sempa Power is Seeking Ontario Candidates for IESO Smart Grid Pilot Program

TORONTO, June 29 /CNW/ - Sempa Power is seeking municipal and industrial partners in Ontario for participation in the Ontario Independent Electricity System Operator's (IESO) Alternative Technology Regulation Pilot Program.

Successful entrants in the Pilot Program will incur no cost to participate and will be financially rewarded. Participants will also qualify for an ongoing revenue opportunity associated with the program's success.

Ideal candidates have large electric equipment that operates to fulfill a consistent workload with a degree of process flexibility or functional range.

    
    Examples include:

    -   Water and Waste Water Treatment Systems
    -   Wood Chippers/Rock Crushers
    -   Large Battery Charging Stations
    -   Electric Boilers
    -   Chillers/Industrial Cold Storage
    -   Electric Arc Furnaces
    

It is important to note that the primary work function, life cycle and operational costs of participant's equipment will not be negatively impacted by involvement in the Smart Grid network and the IESO Pilot Program.

In concert with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) and the Ministry of Environment's efforts to promote energy smart innovations across the province, Sempa and OCWA have agreed to work together to qualify water and waste water systems into this program.

At no cost to the candidate, Sempa's Smart Grid Team will assess each applicant's operational assets and determine the level of income they can earn from participation.
