MONTREAL, Oct. 1, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN), in cooperation with Seniors Action Quebec, is holding an information fair that encourages seniors to remain healthy and active by getting involved in their communities and helping those less fortunate.
The main focus of the event, which is expected to draw a few hundreds of seniors and service providers, is to create a win-win situation for our community by connecting seniors with volunteer activities that keep them healthy and active while, at the same time, providing services that benefit the community. The information fair will also allow seniors to become familiar with community programs and services while learning about businesses and organizations that provide services to English-speaking seniors. Finally the fair will feature five conferences on healthy active aging and the personal and community benefits of volunteering.
