Sequel Hospitality Investments Taps Robert McLaughlin as New President and Chief Operating Officer
HUNTSVILLE, ON, May 27, 2013 /CNW/ - Sequel Hotels and Resorts, a leading hotel and resort management company, has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Robert McLaughlin as the new President and Chief Operating Officer of Sequel Hospitality Investments Inc. ("SHI" or "the Company").
Mr. McLaughlin was brought in to enhance the Company's growth and profitability for investments in hotel and resort acquisitions, mixed use developments. He will also guide the expansion of Sequel Hotels and Resorts. He will also guide the expansion of Sequel Hotels and Resorts.

As a creative leader, with strengths in developing and motivating teams, and designing effective operating systems with proven financial results, McLaughlin specializes in start-up and rebuilding operations, particularly growing emerging brands. In addition to his success at executive levels, he is an award-winning journalist and proven investor.
As Senior Vice-President of Production for CTV, McLaughlin was responsible for all production at CTVglobemedia (2009-2011), overseeing the business development and strategic plan for production units of its networks. He was appointed Executive Producer of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games for CTV (Olympic Morning). As Vice President and General Manager of Toronto's CP24, he oversaw the routine operations and strategic vision of Canada's premier all-news channel. From 2011 to 2012, McLaughlin led the vision, expansion and franchise development strategy for a Canadian healthcare company.
