Service Canada Centre in La Ronge and La Loche Scheduled Outreach Site are Temporarily Closed

LA RONGE, SK, July 8, 2015 /CNW/ - The La Ronge Service Canada Centre at 503 La Ronge Avenue and the La Loche Scheduled Outreach Site located on Montgrand Street have been temporarily closed due to local forest fires. These Centres will remain closed until further notice.

Clients can call 1 800 O-Canada (1-800-622-6232) for information on any of the programs and services offered through Service Canada or visit www.servicecanada.gc.ca. In addition, clients can find in-person service at the following alternate Service Canada locations:

• Prince Albert Service Canada Centre
  South Hill Mall
  2995 - 2nd Avenue West
  Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
  Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m
• Buffalo Narrows Service Canada Centre
  1491 Pederson Avenue , Unit 4
  Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan
  Hours of Operation: Tuesday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed Monday)

Service Canada is making every effort to ensure streamlined processing of Employment Insurance (EI) claims for affected workers. To apply for EI benefits, you must submit an application for EI online or in person at your Service Canada Centre. To access the online application for EI Benefits go to: www.servicecanada.gc.ca and click on "Apply for Employment Insurance." A reference code has been assigned to facilitate the processing of these claims. If you are an affected worker, please enter the following reference code online: 4312-01-2015-060715.

Service Canada delivers programs for a number of Government of Canada departments, such as the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, and Employment Insurance.
