Service Canada Moves and Opens an Outreach Service Site in Lachute
LACHUTE, QC, July 7 /CNW Telbec/ - In order to enhance its services to Canadians, Service Canada is moving. Formerly located at 508 Principale Street in Lachute, Service Canada will now be providing its services at the Maison Populaire d'Argenteuil located at 335 Principale Street.
This new point of service will help to meet the needs and expectations expressed by Canadians, and provide access to a broader range of Government of Canada programs and services. Thanks to this new outreach service site, the residents of Lachute and surrounding areas will be able to obtain a Social Insurance Number or pleasure-craft licence, and apply for Employment Insurance and Old Age Security benefits. Internet access will also be available at the site.
Lachute residents were previously able to access some services through the Projets Communautaires des Laurentides. Service Canada sincerely wishes to thank this organization for its partnership over the past few years.
The new outreach site is located at the Maison Populaire d'Argenteuil. It opened on July 6. Service Canada agents will be present on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:00 am to noon, and from 1:00 to 3:30 pm.
Service Canada is the Government of Canada's service-delivery network, and provides Canadians with one-stop personalized access to services, whether by telephone, by Internet, in person or by mail.
