CORNWALL, ON, June 16, 2020 /CNW/ - On Wednesday June 10th, 2020, members of the Cornwall Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Cornwall Detachment became involved in a firearms trafficking investigation. A male carrying a duffle bag was observed being dropped off by a boat in the Glen Walter area and getting into a vehicle. That vehicle was subsequently the subject of a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of 4 male individuals and the seizure of several firearms believed to have been smuggled into Canada from the United States.
As the investigation is still ongoing, further details will be provided once the investigation is completed and all appropriate charges are laid.
