SGF invests $7 million in Abilis Solutions

MONTREAL, June 29, 2010 /CNW Telbec/ - Société générale de financement du Québec is pleased to announce a $7 million equity investment in Abilis Solutions, an IT consulting services firm and specialized software producer.

This investment falls within one of three strategic plan orientations of SGF, namely contributing to the increasing growth of high-performance, Québec-based companies. "This investment will enable Abilis to kick its corporate acquisition plan into high gear, while cementing its reputation as a rising star within the IT field," explains Pierre Shedleur, President and General Manager at SGF.

Abilis Solutions specializes in the development of distributed systems and secure transactional solutions, as well as the integration of different technologies. It designs, creates and implements turnkey software solutions featuring strong added value, and distributes specialized integrated management systems through vertical markets.

Based in Montréal, Abilis currently boasts over 160 employees, most of whom (101) work at the Montréal head office. Abilis also has offices in Neuilly-sur-Seine (France), Albany (New York) and Portland (Maine).
