As Executive Vice President of Business and Commercial Banking, Shauneen Bruder leads RBC Financial Group's Canadian business serving small and medium-sized businesses and commercial clients. Business and Commercial Banking offers a wide range of lending, deposit and transaction products and services, including deposit, treasury and cash management solutions, payments, franchising, asset-based lending, leasing, and foreign exchange.
Prior to assuming her current position,
Ms. Bruder
was the Chief Operating Officer of RBC Investments, the wealth management division of RBC Financial Group.
From 2001 to 2003,
Ms. Bruder
was President of RBC Centura Banks, Inc., headquartered in
Rocky Mount
, North Carolina. Joining the RBC Financial Group in 1984,
Ms. Bruder
has held various positions in commercial banking, account management, risk management, product management, strategic planning and retail sales management.
A member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors since

Ms. Bruder
is also a director of various RBC subsidiaries including Royal Trust Corporation of
Canada
. In addition,
Ms. Bruder
serves on the Board of Directors of Moneris Solutions Corporation and Pine River Institute. During her tenure in North Carolina, she served on the Governor's Task Force on Innovation for the State of North Carolina and on the Board of Directors of North Carolina Wesleyan College.
Ms. Bruder
has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph (1980) and was Gold Medalist of Queen's University Master of Business Administration class of 1984.
