Sherbrooke welcomes Plan large III - Le cinéma québécois en photo - A unique and original exhibition... that's worth the trip! Français
MONTREAL, May 16, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Loto-Québec is pleased to present the Plan large III - Le cinéma québécois en photo exhibition for the first time in Sherbrooke. This free, not-to-be-missed event is open to all and will be held at the Marché de la Gare from May 16 to June 14, 2013.
This major artistic project organized by the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois consists in an exhibition of 12 large-size photographs featuring producers and actors who marked Quebec cinema in 2012. The works were created by six of Montreal's most talented photographers: Maude Chauvin, Dominique Lafond, Leda & St.Jacques, Jean-François Lemire, Jocelyn Michel and Guillaume Simoneau.
The artists drew inspiration from 12 films: L'affaire Dumont; Avant que mon cœur bascule; Camion; Ésimésac; Inch'Allah; Laurence Anyways; Liverpool; Mars et Avril; Omertà; Rebelle; Roméo Onze; and Tout ce que tu possèdes.
The exhibition will be on tour in three other Québec cities. After Sherbrooke, the exhibition will move on to Trois-Rivières from June 26th to July 15th, then to Baie-Saint-Paul from July 17th to August 19th, and finally to Saguenay from August 20th to September 23rd.
Plan large III gives the public a wonderful opportunity to get to know the artisans of Quebec cinema from a different perspective!
Loto-Québec promotes culture in various ways, including support for festivals and events held in all regions of the province as well as Quebec visual, and stage arts.
