Shoppers Optimum Celebrates 15 Years of Rewarding Canadians

TORONTO, Oct. 7, 2015 /CNW/ - Shoppers Optimum is celebrating its 15^th birthday in a big way by rewarding its more than 10 million members. Birthday celebrations for one of Canada's most popular loyalty programs will commence in Yonge-Dundas Square today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The celebrations continue from October 10^th to 24^th, with in-store and online offers and prizes.

The Yonge-Dundas Square event is an interactive party to kick off Optimum's 15^th birthday. The public will have the opportunity to enter a life-sized confetti globe for the chance to win a Shoppers Drug Mart gift card and be entered into the grand prize draw for an all-inclusive vacation for two to a Royalton Luxury Resort in Cuba, Mexico, Jamaica or Dominican Republic, provided by Sunwing Vacations, valued at $4,500.

In-store and online from October 10^th to 24^th, Shoppers Optimum is giving away a variety of prizes, including 15 all-inclusive luxury sun-filled vacations, 15 prizes of 500,000 Shoppers Optimum Points, prepaid MasterCards and Shoppers Drug Mart gift cards, through an online game along with in-store offers on select products.

Earlier this year, Shoppers Drug Mart launched My Optimum. My Rewards, a new personalized digital experience. The new digital platform includes an enhanced Shoppers Drug Mart app and a digital Optimum card, making it easier than ever for Canadians to earn additional rewards on the products they love. The platform delivers weekly load-to-card offers tailored to members' shopping preferences – including a personalized flyer picking the relevant promotions for each customer. Shoppers Optimum members will receive offers on products they want and use, from cosmetics and skincare to vitamins and snacks, allowing them to earn rewards faster on everyday purchases along with special offers on new items.
