MONTREAL, April 4, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - On Thursday, Place du Canada will rock to the sounds of the Show in support of striking students! This outdoor event, featuring performances by Malajube, Doba, Orange Orange and Boni Suba, is an opportunity for the arts community and other members of civil society to reiterate their support for the students and their opposition to higher tuition fees.
Media are invited to the guest artists' sound check, scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, where they can capture the first round of images for the show. After that, event spokespersons will be available on-site for interviews starting at 4:00 p.m., while the guest artists will grant interviews from 4:30 p.m. on. The show will run from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the corner of Peel Street and René-Lévesque Street West. Arrangements can be made, upon request, for media representatives to obtain images.
This show is organized by the Fédération des Associations Étudiantes du Campus de l'Université de Montréal (FAÉCUM), the Association des étudiantes et étudiants de la Faculté des sciences de l'éducation de l'UQAM (ADEESE-UQAM) and the student associations belonging to the FECQ and the FEUQ.
