TORONTO, Nov. 24, 2017 /CNW/ - Lori Davison, Vice President, Brand Strategy & Communications at SickKids Foundation has been named Canada's 2017 Marketer of the Year by the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA).
For her relentless commitment to propel a compelling Canadian brand onto the global stage – and craft a strategic brand reinvention to represent the very best of Canadian marketing – CMA was proud to present the award to Lori at the CMA Awards Gala, 50th Anniversary edition, on November 24 in Toronto.
"CMA's Marketer of the Year Award is a special award that celebrates senior marketers at the top of their game," said John Wiltshire, President & CEO of the Canadian Marketing Association. "Lori champions the Canadian marketing profession with her strong leadership and future-forward vision."
The SickKids VS campaign, created and executed by Lori's team at SickKids Foundation and Cossette, also won the prestigious Best of the Best Award at this year's CMA Awards Gala. Under Lori's direction and her brand team's efforts, their campaign reached all-time, record-breaking fundraising levels and generated stories around the world.
Recognizing the top talent in Canada's marketing profession for 50 years, the CMA Awards showcase the outstanding work produced by the partnership between client and agency. Other notable 2017 CMA Award winners include:
