Siemens Gamesa completes commissioning of 100 MW North Kent Wind farm project in Ontario

• Project owned by Pattern Development and Samsung Renewable Energy, Inc.
• Successful delivery and commissioning of 34 3.2-MW wind turbines with Ontario produced blades and towers.

OAKVILLE, ON, April 9, 2018 /CNW/ - Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has completed the production, delivery and commissioning of 34 SWT-3.2-113 wind turbines at the North Kent Wind project located in the municipality of Chatham-Kent, in Southwestern Ontario. The project will generate clean power for approximately 35,000 Canadian homes.

"North Kent Wind was built entirely by Ontario workers and is generating substantial economic benefits in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent by injecting more than $40 million in direct spending into the local economy over the next 20 years."

All blades, steel and towers were produced locally in Ontario.
