"Signature Nacho Showdown" Highlights Menu Enhancements for 100th Grey Cup
Fans to Decide Between "East Coast" and "West Coast" Nachos for Right to Be Called "Official 100th Grey Cup Nacho"
TORONTO, Nov. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - Fans attending the Canadian Football League's 100th Grey Cup will have more than the Toronto Argonauts and Calgary Stampeders to throw their support behind when they kick-off at Rogers Centre in Toronto on Sunday, November 25th.

ARAMARK, the exclusive food and beverage partner at Rogers Centre, has unveiled several menu enhancements to celebrate the playing of the 100th Grey Cup.
100th Grey Cup Signature Nacho Showdown.
Embracing the spirit of the Grey Cup, ARAMARK's culinary team has created two specialty nacho platters – representing the Eastern and Western divisions – that will go head-to-head during the game. Each nacho incorporates ingredients and reflects the tastes and flavours from their respective region.
- East Coast Nacho: Fresh Nova Scotia lobster and grilled jumbo shrimp on a bed of crisp corn tortillas topped with warm cheddar cheese, "Bloody Caesar"-infused Pico de Gallo, pickled red cabbage slaw, chipotle pepper cream and jalapeno-infused sour cream drizzle, and fresh chopped scallions.
- West Coast Nacho: Grilled flat iron steak and braised short rib on a bed of crisp corn tortillas topped with warm cheddar cheese, roasted corn, smoked peppers & onions, salsa verde and diced tomatoes, roasted garlic-infused sour cream drizzle, and fresh chives.
A souvenir 32 oz. Grey Cup soft drink is included with the purchase of each nacho.
The nacho that sells the most units by halftime will be named and sold as the "Official 100th Grey Cup Nacho" for the remainder of the game. The showdown will occur on Level 100 outside Muddy York Market.
"With this being the 100th playing of the Grey Cup, we wanted to do something special with the menu to honour the game and celebrate the great tastes of Canada," said Jeffrey Curley, General Manager, ARAMARK at Rogers Centre. "The competition for the right to be called 'Official 100th Grey Cup Nacho' promises to be as fierce as the battle to be crowned Grey Cup Champion."
Toronto Grey Cup Nacho
ARAMARK will also add a limited edition Toronto Grey Cup Nacho to the menu.
- This nacho is made with a crisp bed of home cooked kettle chips, using Prince Edward Island potatoes, and hand-chopped hickory & apple smoked BBQ beef brisket topped with warm cheddar cheese, caramelized maple onions, braised red cabbage slaw, "Bloody Caesar"-infused Pico de Gallo, roasted pepper-infused sour cream drizzle, and fresh chopped scallions & jalapenos.
The Toronto Grey Cup Nacho will be available at Muddy York Market and all Queen Street locations on levels 100, 200 and 500.
Premium Dining
In the premium dining areas, the suites menu will also feature dishes representative of Canadian cuisine, including:
- Grilled Bison Sliders
- Trio of Canadian Autumn Bruschetta
- Garrison Creek Smoked Maple Wood Turkey Breast
- Niagara Peninsula VQA Braised Short Rib
- Peggy's Cove Seafood Mac & Cheese with Scallops, Shrimp and Lobster
- Chilled Shrimp Platter with "Bloody Caesar"-Infused Cocktail Sauce
"The 100th Grey Cup Festival Committee would like to thank ARAMARK for providing our patrons with such unique menu choices at the game," commented Lou Ragagnin, President and COO, 100th Grey Cup Festival. "With the historic game being played in Toronto, we will have to sway some sales to the East Coast Nacho in the Official 100th Grey Cup Nacho Showdown."
