SIGNIFICANT MAJORITY OF LOBLAW COLLEAGUES WITH UFCW CANADA IN ONTARIO RATIFY
COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT; ALL STORES REMAIN OPEN

TORONTO, Oct 7 /CNW/ - Loblaw Companies Limited (Loblaw) is pleased that members of UFCW Canada Local unions 1977, 175 and 1000A, representing colleagues from Zehrs® , Zehrs Great Foods™, Real Canadian Superstore ®, Loblaws ®, Loblaw Great Foods ™ and Fortinos ® in Ontario have voted in support of the previously announced tentative collective agreement.

We have been advised that members of UFCW Canada Local 175/633, representing approximately 1,800 colleagues from nine Loblaw banner stores in Essex, Kent and Lambton Counties rejected the offer by a slim margin. The offer had been unanimously recommended by the union bargaining committee to its membership.

Loblaw banner stores remain open to service its loyal customers.
